This anthology is proof that everyone can be a poet. I always
believe that writing a poem can be considered a linguistic
adventure in which we do not have to involve any feelings or
emotions. For instance, we can randomly pick a verb ‘cry’ and a
noun phrase ‘a crazy crab’ to get ‘a crazy crab cries’ which can be
categorized as personification or anthropomorphism and, as a
result, sounds somewhat imaginative, emotional, and poetic.
Therefore, I guided my students, the contributors of this
anthology, to put my belief into practice by experimenting with
words through a template I already provided and, ultimately,
created this masterpiece. All of the poems in this book follow such
a particular template that readers can understand the forms and
uses of simple tenses, such as simple present, simple past, and
simple future. Not only can the readers play with their imaginations
through the combination of the words, but they can also learn the
grammatical patterns and write their own poems. The most
important thing is that I succeeded to make my students leave a
legacy for their future selves and generations. They should be
proud of themselves.
